Released in alphabetical order, 13 schools were listed as making the top ten, meaning there will be some ties. In addition to all of last years top ten, Indianas Kelley School of Business, Notre Dames Mendoza College of Business, and the University of Southern Californias Marshall School of Business will be joining the top ten. The full rankings will be released on September 10.U.S. News ranking is based solely on the aggregate of peer assessment surveys conducted during the spring of 2017 and 2018. In last years ranking, the University of Pennsylvanias Wharton School took the top spot with a score of 4.8 on a five-point scale. MITs Sloan School of Management followed in second with a 4.6. The University of California-Berkeleys Haas School of Business and the Univ ersity of Michigans Ross School of Business tied for third with a score of 4.5.The U.S. News surveys are sent to deans and senior faculty members at business schools. They are then asked to rate the quality of business programs with which they are familiar on a scale of one (marginal) and five (distinguished). The average score for each school determines where they will place in the rankings.
